NLO suspends Moraks FC official, fines club over assault on match officials

The Nationwide League One, NLO, has suspended Moraks FC official and fined the club 500,000 naira after he allegedly assaulted match officials.

The incident occured during the game against Sunsel FC in Sapele.

The league body said the action was against the principles of sportsmanship and fair play upheld in grassroots football.

In addition, Moraks FC player Adisa Oliver was also suspended indefinitely from all football activities pending the final determination of the official’s case.

The club have been ordered to pay the 500,000 naira fine before their next league match.

The NLO said the sanctions take effect immediately from the date of communication and added that further updates would be provided as the disciplinary process continues.

The league reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the integrity and safety of its games.
