Champions League: I’m not Blue anymore – Mourinho speaks ahead of Chelsea vs Benfica

Benfica manager Jose Mourinho has claimed he is “not a Blue” anymore, ahead of another return to Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Both teams meet in their second Champions League fixture of the season.

Mourinho coached Chelsea across two separate stints, during which he won three Premier League titles.

However, he now returns to Stamford Bridge with the club where he began his managerial career, aiming to take all three points.

“Of course, I am part of their history and they are part of my history,” Mourinho told reporters today.

“When I say I am not a Blue, it is about the job I do tomorrow.

“I don’t think Chelsea fans will boo me. At least when I am on the street they ask me for selfies and pictures.”
