Ace broadcaster, Christianah Ademulegun is dead

The first Ekiti indigenous broadcaster, Christianah Ademulegun popularly Called ‘Eye Opitan’ has passed away at 74

A statement by one of her children, Femi Ademulegun, said the veteran broadcaster passed away after a brief illness in the early hours of Thursday .

Eye Opitan’ was versed in the history of Ekiti towns and their ‘oriki’.

She retired from the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and consulted for a few private stations in the state.

Mrs Ademulegun survived by children and grandchildren.

We’ll achieve 95% digital literacy by 2030 – Nigerian Govt

The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to achieving 95% digital literacy across Nigeria by the year 2030, with an ambitious milestone of 70% by 2027. This disclosure was made in total alignment with the present administration’s priority areas of reforming the economy for sustained inclusive growth and accelerating diversification through industrialisation, digitisation, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation. Former Owerri Municipal Council Chairman, Ebere dumps PDP, joins APC

The former Owerri Municipal Council Chairman, Chukwuemeka Ebere, popularly known as ABJ, has officially renounced his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC. He said that his decision to leave PDP was because of the leadership crisis rocking the party both at the state and national levels.
