Ace broadcaster, Christianah Ademulegun is dead

The first Ekiti indigenous broadcaster, Christianah Ademulegun popularly Called ‘Eye Opitan’ has passed away at 74

A statement by one of her children, Femi Ademulegun, said the veteran broadcaster passed away after a brief illness in the early hours of Thursday .

Eye Opitan’ was versed in the history of Ekiti towns and their ‘oriki’.

She retired from the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and consulted for a few private stations in the state.

Mrs Ademulegun survived by children and grandchildren.

Stan Collymore, a former Liverpool striker, has offered advice to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta on the tactical approach to adopt when his side take on Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg in Paris on Wednesday. Arteta’s side were narrowly beaten 1-0 in the first leg a few days ago at the Emirates Stadium. The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to achieving 95% digital literacy across Nigeria by the year 2030, with an ambitious milestone of 70% by 2027.
