El-Rufai breaks silence on dumping APC for PDP

Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has denied reports of rumours of him dumping the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Posting on X, the former governor wrote: “Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers.”

Liverpool’s talisman Mohamed Salah has moved up to seventh in the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring charts. Salah scored in the 35th minute of their 4-1 win over Ipswich Town at Anfield on Saturday. The 32-year-old has been in inspired form for Arne Slot’s table-topping side this season. Salah netted his 176th goal in the division and has now moved clear of Thierry Henry (175) and one behind Chelsea legend Frank Lampard (177). Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has advocated for the establishment of large-scale irrigation farms as a key solution to addressing the escalating food insecurity in the Lake Chad Basin region. The governor made the call during a panel discussion titled “Ensuring Food Security through Building Resilience of Food Systems in the Lake Chad Basin Region” at the ongoing 5th Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum in Maiduguri.
