[Morsy] was always alone. We have to jump on him. “Hutchinson was always in the dead space, Jonny Evans should be pressing his guy but when we don’t have training and it’s hard to say all the reactions to the players, we had two days so they are confused a little bit. “We have to look at the data, understand the data and look at that. In a unanimous judgment, a seven-member panel of the court, presided over by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji ruled that the court does not have the original jurisdiction to hear and determine the suit, which has the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, as the sole defendant. Justice Garba agreed with the defendant that the suit amounted to an attempt to re-litigate issues already decided by the Supreme Court in the AG, Bauchi v. AGF case, which relates to the revenues accrua...

Emotions were high at Courtroom No. 3 of the Federal High Court, Kano Division, on Friday, following Justice Simon Amobeda’s reaction to an application filed before him, asking him to recuse himself from hearing a case related to the local government election held in Kano last October. Justice Amobeda was particularly annoyed at the application for recusal filed by Usman Umar Fari, the lead lawyer of the legal team of Kano State Government. Visibly angry, the judge said “lawyers in Kano State have been saying “despicable things” about myself,” adding, “that only lazy lawyers make applications for recusal.” He said he was not against the Kano State Government, but “against the impunity of the state”, adding that he had delivered judgements that favoured the government in some cases.
